About

My writing has been favourably compared with that of Vladimir Nobokov, Jorge Luis Borges and Flann O’Brien (by The Washington Post); and with Mark Twain and William Faulkner (by the Whispering Stories Book Blog).

There’s only one of me, not three.

I use three names for my writing: Andrew Komarnyckyj, A K Reynolds and Jack D McLean. (I used to call myself Jack Strange as well, and I still do on one of my Facebook profiles. But for reasons I explain elsewhere I’ve stopped using Jack Strange as a pen-name).

I’ve devised an author bio for each of my pen-names. You’ll find these on the relevant pages. There’s some truth to each of them. If you’re looking for the whole truth about me, I have a book coming out in April 2023 which is semi-autobiographical. You’ll find the whole truth there. The title of the book is Gonzobelly. You could sum it up as Ham On Rye by Charles Bukowski meets Junky by William Burroughs and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S Thompson. Look out for Gonzobelly next year! (It’s going to be published by the amazing Spellbound Books).
